To ensure your personal safety and the safety of those around you,
the integrity of all pressurized cylinders must be hydrostatically
tested at intervals specified by the D.O.T./I.C.C. These include,
but are not limited to; fire extinguishers, SCBAs and CO2 tanks (including
those used in paintball guns and beer taps).
Interstate Fire Systems uses state-of-the-art computerized equipment
to perform these tests. The Galiso Recortest/Open testing system tests
cylinders by using the water jacket method to measure the expansion
of the cylinder at several times the working pressure. When the test
pressure is released from the cylinder some permanent expansion ocurrs.
If permanent expansion exceeds predetermined limits, the cylinder
must be condemned and replaced. If permanent expansion is within limits
the cylinder receives an appropriate stamp and is placed back into
service. |
